The firefighters arrived on time. And fortunately. This Thursday morning, the alarm of a smoke detector went off before 7 a.m. in a house in Lorient (Morbihan). Alerted, the neighbors quickly warned the firefighters who were able to rescue the occupant of the pavilion, then asleep. A fire had broken out in the kitchen. According to firefighters, interviewed by West France, the release of fumes was caused by a pan remaining on the electric hotplates. These induction hobs would have been operated by the cat of the occupant of the pavilion!
The latter, a 72-year-old paraplegic woman, slept in her room, sheltered from the thick black smoke. The home was cleaned and ventilated by firefighters, allowing its occupant to regain possession during the day.
