In Grafrath, diesel flows into the Amper – Fürstenfeldbruck

Several liters of diesel flowed into the Amper on Thursday evening after an accident in Grafrath. The informed water management office took water samples on the same evening. However, the Fürstenfeldbruck police said that there was no greater danger to animals and the environment.

The 24-year-old driver of a car with a trailer lost control of his trailer when he drove too fast into the roundabout on federal highway 471 in Grafrath. Because the speed was not adjusted, according to the police, the light pole trailer began to sway.

The driver from Mammendorf was no longer able to get his trailer under control and the trailer tipped on its side. About 100 liters of diesel flowed out of the power generator onto the road. Due to the sloping terrain at the accident site, a large part of the fuel ended up in the nearby Amper. The police had the person who caused the accident do an alcohol test, which showed a blood alcohol level of 1.8.
