The allegations against Rammstein and especially Till Lindemann weigh heavily. Now the band speaks up again – with a clear request.

More and more women have made allegations against Rammstein singer Till Lindemann public in the past few days: It is about the targeted selection of concert visitors for sex with the singer, drugs in drinks and violence. Now the band has spoken with a statement on Instagram.

“The publications of the last few days have caused irritation and questions among the public and especially among our fans,” it says. “The allegations hit us all very hard and we take them extremely seriously. We say to our fans: It’s important to us that you feel comfortable and safe at our shows – in front of and behind the stage.”

Rammstein speaks out against prejudice

The band condemns “any kind of assault” and asks their fans not to participate in prejudice against those who make the allegations. “You have a right to your point of view,” writes the band. But she also makes it clear: “We, the band, also have a right – namely not to be prejudiced either.”

In terms of content, Rammstein does not comment on the allegations again. The band tweeted on May 28: “Regarding the allegations about Vilnius circulating online, we can rule out that what is being claimed happened in our area. We are not aware of any official investigations into this.”

Fans discuss the post and allegations

Under the Instagram post that has now been published, fans are discussing why the post was not published in English given the fans around the world. Some pledge their support to the band, others point out that it is no longer a single woman who reports negative experiences. Everyone involved will probably have to be patient until the allegations are clarified.
