After a marathon of negotiations that lasted more than 12 hours, “Dragon Lord” Rainer Winkler left the court on probation – the impending imprisonment was initially averted. Now the public prosecutor’s office is appealing again.

The “Dragon Lord” case continues: Last Wednesday, the Youtuber “Dragon Lord”, bourgeois Rainer Winkler, was sentenced to a one-year suspended sentence for bodily harm. After the public prosecutor’s office had already appealed after the first trial, they are now also contesting the judgment of the second instance. The Bavarian Higher Regional Court will now decide on a possible repetition of the appeal process. the star had reported extensively on the Dragonlord’s story and procedure, read more about it here.

The public prosecutor had recently demanded a prison sentence of two years and three months, in their opinion the sentence was too mild. In fact, Winkler got off much better in the appeal process than in the first process in October last year. He was then sentenced to two years in prison without parole. The public prosecutor’s office had also challenged this verdict, and the punishment was also not enough, although it was significantly more severe. In the first trial, she asked for two years and six months in prison.

Decision without a court date

Judge Axel Dunavs, who pronounced the verdict on Wednesday, now has to justify this in writing, while the public prosecutor’s office has to draw up the appeal request. The statements are then sent by post to the Higher Regional Court in Nuremberg, where the decision is checked for legal errors. Evidence is no longer taken, and there is no court date. Only if the appeal is granted does the case have to be heard again before the Nuremberg-Fürth District Court. Only then does “Dragon Lord” Rainer Winkler have to go back to the dock and all the witnesses will be heard again.

It can take months for that to happen, prosecutors said. Rainer Winkler remains at large until a decision is made. The “Dragon Lord” is still under observation. Since he left the court under police protection on Wednesday evening, his “haiders,” as the people who have been provoking him for years and posting videos of him on the Internet, have been following him everywhere. In a Telegram chat, which now has more than 31,000 subscribers, pictures of Winkler’s conspicuous pick-up truck are shared and current locations are given.

25 euros for a stone of his house

The “Dragon Lord” has apparently been touring aimlessly through Germany in a car for weeks after finally leaving his parents’ house in tranquil Altschauerberg at the end of February. The city has since demolished the house, and he is said to have received around 70,000 euros for it. Stones from the ruins are offered on sales platforms for around 25 euros – as a souvenir for the supposed success that his pursuers want to claim for themselves.
