Imprisonment and Twitter ban for cyberstalker Tariq Ramadan

The Tariq Ramadan affair has become a real obsession for him. A 48-year-old man was tried on Thursday before the Saint-Brieuc criminal court for cyberbullying, reports West France. For two years, between 2020 and 2022, the accused had harassed several protagonists of the Tariq Ramadan case on social networks, also inundating them with malicious calls and text messages and threatening them with death.

The forties had attacked the Islamologist, acquitted on May 24 in a rape case in Switzerland. Henda Ayari, one of the women also accusing Tariq Ramadan of rape, had also been the victim of the Breton cyberstalker, as was the psychologist Fanny Bauer-Motti, a fervent defender of Tariq Ramadan.

At the end of the hearing, the accused was sentenced to twenty-four months in prison, sixteen of which were suspended. He is also prohibited from engaging in any activity on Twitter and will also have to compensate his victims and treat himself.
