Books can touch, move, teach and at best become important in the further course of life. We have collected just such books in this series. The second part is “Self-confident through life” by Dr. Johannes Wimmer in focus.

Books can be helpful in many areas of life: when it comes to being informed about different topics, but also to learn something about yourself. The first part of this series was already about: What do I actually expect from (my) relationship and what exactly do my needs look like? Understanding yourself is often not as easy as it might sound at first. In the second part of the book series, dealing with yourself is again in the foreground, more precisely: working on your own self-confidence and a self-confident appearance.

Anyone who has low self-esteem and often feels insecure in everyday life knows that it is not easy to simply put it down. And certainly not by just reading a book. Therefore, the following book tip is not just a reading tip. “Confidently Through Life” by Dr. John Wimmer is a 30-day course in book form. It combines theoretical tips with practical exercises and that is exactly why it is so effective.

Particularly positive: Wimmer never writes with a raised index finger, but rather in an entertaining, compassionate manner and at eye level. The texts are stimulating to deal with oneself, the exercises are easy to integrate into everyday life and make sense to gradually overcome uncertainty. For example, he encourages making phone calls, working on posture or dealing with one’s own fears and negatives – in a gentle, motivating way. He does not do the work for the readers, but manages to make it clear why it is important to work on self-esteem. But he also makes it clear that it’s not about not being good enough. It’s not about optimization, it’s about realizing that you already have everything you need. You just have to recognize it (again).

The positive, encouraging tone that Dr. Johannes Wimmer shows. Everyone who is struggling with themselves, who is looking for confirmation from outside and who has not yet been able to develop their potential, should definitely read the book. It helps to realize who you are, what you can do, and that you don’t have anything to be ashamed of or please. It hardly takes up any time, but provides regular input and a constant confrontation with one’s own insecurities. Exactly this has a long-term effect on one’s own life. And only then does a book become meaningful: when you constantly remember passages from it and it helps you to be more fulfilled.
