Illertissen / Brannenburg – survived night outdoors – Bavaria

A 90-year-old woman reported missing wandered around one night in the open air in Swabia. She was discovered in Senden on Friday morning and taken to a hospital because of severe hypothermia, according to the Swabian Southwest Police Headquarters. The woman was in a nursing home in Illertissen (Neu-Ulm district) for short-term care, from which she disappeared on Thursday afternoon. Senden is more than ten kilometers from Illertissen; the police believe that she walked the afternoon and night. A similar case in Upper Bavaria ended well without a hospital stay. There the police were looking for a missing 82-year-old who had disappeared with his car in Brannenburg (Rosenheim district). The man finally got in touch with his family from Bolzano in South Tyrol, where he will now be picked up.
