IHK-Ebersberg: Against the scarcity – Ebersberg

Affordable living space or the acquisition of qualified specialists as well as sustainability are the top topics of the IHK regional committee Ebersberg in the coming period. The committee members agreed on this at their first working meeting after the IHK election in spring and after the constituent meeting in June. The entrepreneurs met again for a mutual exchange, this time in the former savings bank of the district town.

“The economic power of our district is impressive,” says Sonja Ziegltrum-Teubner, chairwoman of the IHK regional committee in Ebersberg. “But we mustn’t gamble away our success. That is why it is important to keep pace with social and technological changes. The past year and a half, delivery bottlenecks, material shortages and rising energy prices show us how vulnerable our economy is.” It is all the more important that the regional economy becomes more crisis-proof and remains competitive. The committee members therefore want to discuss in their upcoming meetings where the shoe pinches and in which areas there is a need for action.

“Local entrepreneurs are justifiably concerned that the already dramatic shortage of skilled workers will be exacerbated by excessively high housing and living costs,” warns Ziegltrum-Teubner. The chairwoman of the committee also emphasized that companies are already leading the way when it comes to sustainable action. “Our district can become a pioneer in this important future task.” The regional committee will therefore – as in the past – make constructive suggestions and contribute with proposed solutions, continue the dialogue with local politicians, the district administrator and other partners and do everything possible to preserve jobs and prosperity in the region.
