Idea in the CSU: Bavaria should operate regional railway lines itself. – Bavaria

The committee of inquiry into the second main route in Munich found many abuses in the state railway company. This led to the idea in the state parliament of taking the fate of the branch lines into one’s own hands. There is another notable requirement.

It is still just a vision for a better railway that is being created in the CSU. But you have to come up with this idea first: The Free State of Bavaria and the other federal states should operate the regional railway lines themselves, demands the CSU member of the state parliament, Jürgen Baumgärtner. The countries could “decide much better locally what needs to be done where”. The MP from Upper Franconia heads the working group for housing, construction and transport in the CSU parliamentary group.
