Three German ice hockey professionals are in action in the NHL, and all three win with their teams. For Moritz Seider these are important points in the fight for the playoffs.

The German National ice hockey player Moritz Seider can continue to dream of his first playoff participation in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings. The Red Wings defeated the Colorado Avalanche at home 2-1 (0-0, 0-1, 1-0) after overtime and achieved their third win in a row in the North American Ice Hockey League.

Thanks to the success against the top team in the Western Conference, the Red Wings climb one place in the East table and continue to occupy one of the two wild card spots. Your cushion on first place outside the playoff ranks is already six points. Although Seider did not contribute to the goal, he received the most playing time of his team with almost 23 minutes.

Philipp Grubauer can at least continue to expect playoff chances with the Seattle Kraken. The goalkeeper and the team from the northwest of the USA achieved a 5:2 (1:1, 3:1, 1:0) home win over the Vancouver Canucks. With 59 points, the wildcard places in the west are only three for Seattle Counter removed. Grubauer was in goal for only the second time in the new year and saved 21 of 23 shots on target.

Tim Stützle, the third German NHL player, was also successful in action; his Ottawa Senators beat the Dallas Stars 4-1 (1-1, 3-0, 0-0), making them the second-best team in the Western Conference . Stützle prepared one goal; the 22-year-old attacker has always been involved in a goal in the last four games.
