NHL: Sharks achieve first away win of the season

The San Jose Sharks around national player Nico Sturm are currently the worst team in the NHL. Now the team achieved their first away win of the season after ten defeats.
The San Jose Sharks have their first in the NHL Away win this season. The team led by national ice hockey player Nico Sturm won the New Jersey Devils 6:3 (1:1, 2:0, 3:2). Goalkeeper Kaapo Kahkonen in particular showed a strong performance, the Finn saved 44 shots on goal.
The Sharks, on the other hand, had enough of their own 18 shots for six goals. That’s how many they had achieved in total in their ten previous away games. Jacob MacDonald and Anthony Duclair each scored twice, Mikael Granlund scored one goal and prepared two, William Eklund scored into the empty net shortly before the end for the final score. Nico Sturm remained on the ice for around 14 minutes without contributing to a goal.
Despite their first away win of the season, the Sharks still have the worst record in the league. However, after a historically weak start to the season, the team from California recently managed three wins from four games.
In the second game of the evening, Tim Stützle’s Ottawa Senators lost 4-2 to the Columbus Blue Jackets after a two-goal lead and clear superiority. Stützle remained on the ice for around 22 minutes without contributing to a goal. It was the Senators’ third loss in a row.
