Two wins in a row are usually not worth mentioning for the Edmonton Oilers – this season is different. Leon Draisaitl scored in the 8:2 win against Anaheim and was still clearly in the shadows.

The Edmonton Oilers for national ice hockey players Leon Draisaitl won two games in a row for only the second time in the NHL season. Two days after the 5-0 win against the Washington Capitals there was an 8-2 win against the Anaheim Ducks.

Draisaitl had one goal and one assist, but was overshadowed by his fellow striker Connor McDavid. The Canadian was directly involved in five of the Oilers’ eight goals. In addition to the interim equalizer to make it 2-2, he prepared four goals. The last of these was the 7:2 advantage by Draisaitl in the final third. The Cologne player has nine goals this season.

Moritz Seider and the Detroit Red Wings had previously recorded a 4-1 win against the Minnesota Wild. Lukas Reichel and the Chicago Blackhawks lost to the St. Louis Blues 2:4. The two German national players each had no involvement in the goal.
