EHC Red Bull Munich started the playoff semifinals of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) with a win. The team of DEL record coach Don Jackson won game one of the on Wednesday best of 5series against the Grizzlies Wolfsburg at home with 5:1. The most conspicuous EHC player was captain Patrick Hager, who scored two goals himself (13th, 23rd) and prepared Konrad Abeltshauser’s 4-0 lead (36th). Ben Street (17th) and Ben Smith (42nd) also scored for Munich, Jordan Murray’s 1:5 (53rd) was only a cosmetic result. Game two takes place in Wolfsburg on Friday.
