The negative run of the EHC RB Munich against the Adler Mannheim continues. The EHC lost the top game of the German Ice Hockey League in Mannheim with 1: 5 on Sunday and thus suffered the seventh defeat in a row against the Adler. “Sometimes we played a little too slowly,” said Munich coach Don Jackson at Magentasport. Markus Eisenschmid put the Adler in the lead after 19 seconds. Both teams acted defensively and attentively in the starting third, which made it difficult for the EHC to create clear scoring opportunities. The Munich team offered two good ones, but Felix Brückmann parried strongly against Austin Ortega (13th) and Jonathon Blum (19th). At the beginning of the middle third, Frederik Tiffels scored the 1-1 (22nd), only the Adler were aggressively ripped off: Dennis Reul (24th) and Tim Wohlgemuth (36th) brought Mannheim 3-1 in the front, in between the EHC failed several times to Brückmann. “We don’t take our chances and make mistakes that Mannheim punishes coldly,” said Tiffels before the final third, in which Jordan Szwarz (46th) and Mark Katic (60th, empty goal) scored for Mannheim.
