“I don’t leave my house without mascara, except when I’m really on the run”, says Shy’m

In an exclusive interview, singer Shy’m answered questions from “20 Minutes” about her waking habits. She does not hesitate to give her fitness or beauty tips, her good addresses and share her little daily gestures.

Waking up with Shy’m is waking up at what time?

Waking up with me is never on time (laughs), it depends a lot on my son. Before my son I was an insomniac so I could wake up at 2, 3, 4 and go back to sleep at 6 Now I’m still insomniac, but my son wakes me between 6:30, 7:30 and when he’s a little nicer, it’s 8 hours.

What is your first instinct when you wake up?

My first instinct is to look at the time. So to turn on my phone, well wake me up by the light. Even if it is set to a minimum the day before, in the morning it is always too much. And check to see if my son is sleeping or if he’s quietly waiting for me playing with his stuffed animals in his bed.

What is the feel-good music you like to sing or listen to while getting ready?

At the moment, I can only talk about my title featuring Vartang which is called Frosted. I’ve had it on repeat for almost a year, because we’ve been working on it for a year. And there, we finally have the clip. The public finally has it in their ears and on their phones, so we’re quite happy.

What hairstyle do you do when you wake up late?

Actually, it depends on my hair, because sometimes I’m going to have curls and it’s going to look like nothing. If I have straight hair and I was hot at night it doesn’t even look like anything anymore, so in fact it’s cap. The cap is wonderful, because you hide everything and almost 9 times out of 10 I have a cap on my head.

What are your beauty essentials?

My make-up essentials: mascara. I don’t leave the house without mascara, and if that’s the case, it’s because I’m really stuck. And I’m lucky to be the face of Pin-up secret, which is a brand of beauty products, and I’m lucky to have the whole range. But it’s true that my main thing, which I do in the morning and in the evening, is to wash my skin with goat’s milk soap. Then I do moisturizer, etc. But the soap if I don’t do it for a few days, I don’t feel super good and super clean. It’s like a perfume, I don’t wear perfume since I had my son, and that’s the perfume I’ve become addicted to since I worked with Pin-up secret. »

Among them, which one would you choose if you could only keep one and why?

I would keep the soap.

The breakfast you make for yourself in the morning when you have time?

I do it with my son because it’s a special moment. We both cycle to the bakery and grab a baguette. He loves butter, salted butter. It’s Norman origins, it’s France, it’s also his mother who loves salted butter. We make slices of bread and salted butter. And I think that’s one of the first words he must have said before mom, “butter” (laughs).

The outfit in which you feel the best on a daily basis?

My friends will recognize me. I like having a tomboy side all the same and a little bit “sexy”. In winter, it’s the leggings, the Dr Martens. Dr Martens are my slippers. With a tank top or a sweater. And then in summer, it’s the cyclist and the same, Dr Martens, big t-shirt and then cap. It’s really the outfit in which I feel good, I especially feel myself. »

Whether 20 minutes open your bag, what will we find there?

My keys, my phone, there’s a tampon (laughs), there’s a secret Pin-up hand moisturizer.

Where are you going for lunch?

I love having brunches with my friends and not long ago I discovered the Brother Sister, who does brunches too well, it’s too good. They make small drinks as we like, the day after parties. Invigorating, purifying, draining drinks. The green cocktail, we all know it (laughs), the saving cocktail. I like this place and it’s very good and it’s super welcoming. It’s a brother and a sister who put it together and it’s very well done. The broccoli au gratin is amazing.

A place you like to go and why?

My bed (laughs). My bed to sleep in, to take advantage of all the hours I have to sleep while my son sleeps. If not outside, I’ve only been on the trend for a few years, because before I had a little trouble doing that, I like to do small brasseries, small bars with my friends, not far from home. Very simple stuff, but where you feel good, where there aren’t a lot of people. It’s not “have you seen me?” », It is normal what. These are times that I like to spend with my friends.

What’s your secret to staying in shape/being in a good mood?

I’m not in good shape all the time (laughs). But I think that being well in your head… I’m lucky to have a job that allows me to do different things every day. That’s what puts me in a good mood and what makes me happy, it’s not getting into a routine in the end, it’s not having the same schedules. It’s doing what I love in the end and that makes people happy. And in general, now that I’ve been asked this question, since I became a mother, seeing my son well, smiling and happy makes me happy.
