Shortly afterwards the digits disappear. They are replaced by three lines. Remaining range: “— km”. What follows is a reality check away from fast chargers on motorways and the overflow of charging stations in a big city, somewhere in the bacon belt between the Wörthsee and Munich. It’s actually only a few kilometers to your home garage. But who wants to depend on whether the missing 24 kilometers will reach there?
