Christian Eriksen’s fate has been moving the football world since last summer. Now there was a remarkable scene in the Premier League.
Christian Eriksen and his opponent Brandon Williams created a particularly touching scene in the Premier League game between Norwich City and FC Brentford: After a duel, both fell to the ground, which almost led to a small scuffle. Norwich professional Williams apparently did not know at first that his opponent was Eriksen.
Just as he was about to say a few bars to the Dane, lying on the floor, he realized who he was nagging at. And suddenly there was a loving embrace between the two. Eriksen laughed, both got up and the game went on as normal. The internet went wild after the scene.
Eriksen celebrated his comeback last week
For Eriksen it was the second game after his cardiac arrest at the European Championship last summer. Last week he made his comeback for Brentford in a home game against Newcastle United to a standing ovation from the entire stadium. There was a storm of jubilation when it was presented before.
The Dane who had to be resuscitated after the heart attack has been under contract with Brentford since the end of January. The 30-year-old was no longer allowed to play for his former club Inter Milan because contact sports with defibrillators are not allowed in Italy. The contract was therefore terminated.
