🚨 Huge sanction against Atal, firecracker thrown during Montpellier

Zapping Onze Mondial EXCLUDED: Dayot Upamecano’s “Little Brother” interview!

This Wednesday, the disciplinary committee had its work cut out for it. Indeed, the latter had to decide on two thorny cases in particular. The Youcef Atal case, whose publication repeating an anti-Semitic call from a Palestinian preacher provoked heated controversy and even his suspension within the Riviera club. But also the final verdict of the Montpellier – Clermont match, interrupted in stoppage time while the Héraultais were leading 4-2, for a firecracker throw targeting Mory Diaw, the Clermont goalkeeper.

For Youcef Atal, the commission struck hard by deciding to sanction Atal with a seven-match suspension! For the Montpellier – Clermont meeting, the latter will have to be replayed behind closed doors while Montpellier takes two withdrawal points, one of which is suspended!
