“Hubert without Staller” is getting a new TV film in January. It is already the fourth 90-minute television release.

There will soon be a new one for the popular comedy crime series “Hubert ohne Staller” on the first TV movie. “Hubert without Staller: Very close to heaven” will be broadcast on First on January 3, 2024 from 8:15 p.m. The film will be available in the ARD media library from December 25, 2023. It is already the fourth 90-minute television release.

Since the beginning of November, viewers have been able to watch the eleventh season of the German crime series about Christian Tramitz (68) and Michael Brandner (71) on TV. Season twelve won’t be long in coming either: filming for it only recently ended, the broadcaster announced.

That’s what the TV movie is about

The police officers Hubert (Christian Tramitz) and Girwidz (Michael Brandner) from Wolfratshausen discover two bodies while hiking together in the mountains in Ödweil. One of them is on the German side of the border stone and the other on the Austrian side. They try to roll the dead person on their side across the state border, but are caught by the Austrian Alpine police.

The officers Susanne Gabler (Doris Schretzmayer) and Franziska Haas (Marlene Morreis) want to take care of the Austrian corpse while the German duo devote themselves to the other. However, their superiors order that the two pairs of investigators work together on the case. What initially seems impossible due to personal differences develops into a story in which love also plays a role.

The twelve episodes of the eleventh season run every Wednesday from 6:50 p.m. on the first.
