After the bitter failure in the relegation against VfB Stuttgart (0:3, 1:3), HSV is certain: Hamburg will have to play in the 2nd Bundesliga again next season. Because of this certainty, some top performers, such as Ludovit Reis or Robert Glatzel, could leave the club. Sports director Jonas Boldt announced immediately after the game that he wanted to keep the squad together. “They know what they have in Hamburg and in us,” said Boldt. “We’ll have a lot of talks,” explained coach Tim Walter. For the football coach, it’s now about continuity – and about adding more pieces of the puzzle to ensure promotion in the coming season: “Basically, it is very important to us to continue in the same way and to strengthen the squad.”
