At least coach Tim Walter knew exactly what went wrong. The grievances were easy to see: luck was “blatantly absent” from his team, explained Walter, and then his team constantly made mistakes. First one player caused an unnecessary penalty, the next hit the ball, and a third simply passed the ball to the opponent. “Too many mistakes,” summarized Walter and still had an optimistic message to announce: It won’t happen again “because you can’t make that many mistakes in a game again” – that “is mathematically impossible.” Walter added that critics could rest assured: the many goals conceded had “nothing to do with” the game system.
