How the polar bear twins from Rostock spend their day (video)

Watch the video: polar bear twins – offspring at Rostock Zoo.

Cuddling, playing and sleeping is the order of the day for the baby polar bears at Rostock Zoo, as these pictures from the polar bear cave show. The bear cubs, whose gender has not yet been determined, were born on November 14th. According to the zoo, they are thriving, gaining vigor and keeping their mother busy. It is the first breeding success in the Polarium facility, which was in September 2018. 35 other polar bears were born before these two cubs at Rostock Zoo. One of the young animals has a broader head than its sibling and is a bit fuller, according to the zoo on its website. The mother’s milk is very high in fat and protein. The twins are nursed for more than a year. Soon they should also show interest in their mother’s food. Then the zoo will offer meat turned by the wolf or herring. The first trip to the outdoor area should follow in March at the earliest.
