How social progress came to Bavaria – Bavaria

Some associate the 1960s with student revolts and club culture, while others associate the first television sets and vacations in Italy. A magazine from the House of Bavarian History combines all facets into a panopticon – between departure and uprising.

Sir Quickly is on the cover, in a white suit on his namesake NSU Quickly, Ottfried Fischer in his legendary role in the equally legendary series “Somehow and Sowieso”. With this series, Franz Xaver Bogner created a cinematic monument to the 1960s in Bavaria. The youth of young farmer Alfons alias Sir Quickly and his friends, the car mechanic Sepp (Elmar Wepper) and the high school student Effendi (Robert Giggenbach) in the country move between their rebellion against authority and entanglements in love affairs. It is clear that new times are dawning.
