One could almost believe that Alexandre Dumas wrote The three Musketeers for Vincent Cassel (Athos), François Civil (D’Artagnan), Pio Marmaï (Porthos) and Romain Duris (Aramis), as our four actors are at ease in D’Artagnanthe first part of a diptych that brings the famous heroes of swashbuckling films up to date.

“We all underwent intense training for both fencing and horse riding, remembers Romain Duris. It was essential to appear credible in action, but also to forge the bond that unites our characters. »
Many sequence shots have forced the actors to carry out their own muscular scenes where they gallop and scrap in a virtuoso way. “It was a bit like going back to childhood when we played at being heroes with fake swords, admits Pio Marmaï. Even if we had to stay focused to avoid injuries. »
