Internet culture and linear television programs have about as much in common as climate stickers and SUV drivers, but on September 4th a small dose of Internet humor spilled over. Olaf Scholz fell while jogging and had to wear an eye patch, on Instagram wrote the Chancellor: “Whoever has the damage… I’m looking forward to the memes.” A few hours later the internet was full of pirate jokes, a few of which made it in an article from the “Heute-Journal”.
