Last Friday, Lothar Wieler was sitting in the federal press conference, gazing straight ahead, just not showing any emotion. Next to him sits Jens Spahn, still the executive Federal Minister of Health, i.e. his boss. Spahn explains to the country what needs to be done urgently now. That the vaccination centers have to be restarted and everyone should come for a booster vaccination. That much more needs to be tested. And that the federal and state governments should urgently discuss how to organize all of this. Spahn says: “The situation is serious. And I recommend all of us to take it seriously.”
