How a Brucker expert helps people who are afraid of the future – Dachau

Christine Rall from Emmering in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck is an expert in leadership, emotional intelligence and mindfulness. The former high school teacher has been coaching executives and CEOs for more than 30 years. She recently performed with two other speakers, Felicitias Binninger and Barbara Kopp, at an event at the Kulturschranne in Dachau. It was the first station in her lecture series entitled “Minimum Power Future”. The three women want to show how self-leadership, appreciation and a positive mindset can make people crisis-proof. In an interview, Christine Rall explains the background to the lecture series and how people who are unsettled by crises such as the pandemic and the war in Ukraine can allay their fears about the future.

SZ: Ms. Rall, what is the “Mindset-Power-Future” lecture series about?

Christine Rall: It’s about making people fitter for the future and giving them valuable tips that can be implemented in practice. The three of us perform and each of us gives our own lecture, which builds on each other. The name “Mindset-Power-Future” describes the content of the three keynotes that were held during the event and what I and my colleagues want to convey with them.

“Mindset” is very much about your own basic attitude. One has to ask oneself, is this rather negative or positive. This is also consciously about neuroscience and psychology, since it has now been proven that we can change the way we think, that we have the power to change our basic attitude towards our lives. And this is where “power” comes in. Here it stands for the possibility of people to be in their own power, it means to be balanced and to rest in oneself. Only then is it possible to help others, to be there for them and to support them. And finally, “mindset” and “power” in the present help to look to the future and face it without fear and a feeling of powerlessness. So when we say that we make our listeners “fit for the future”, we mean above all developing psychological resilience.

How did you come to deal with this topic?

We live in a time when many people perceive the future as uncertain and uncertain, and that is scary. We saw that very clearly with the pandemic, but also with the war in Ukraine, inflation and climate change. My colleagues and I want to give courage for the future and that any crisis can be overcome with commitment and solidarity. Like me, Felicitas Binninger and Barbara Kopp are experienced management consultants and coaches for management issues. I have been giving coaching and international workshops for managers and executives for thirty years.

A positive mindset is one of the most important leadership qualities for me, which I also want to pass on to my customers. For me, leadership always starts with self-leadership. Felicitas Binninger worked for many years as a course manager in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Worms and is very involved in future research. In this field, it emerges that flexibility and mental strength are the most important qualities to prepare yourself well for the future. In our lecture series, Barbara Kopp stands for the topic “Humanity pays off”, especially in the management floors of companies. She is a mathematician, worked at Mercedes for a long time and, like me, has unfortunately experienced that some managers often still act in the old way and have made a career, either by using their elbows or because it was the next step in their professional career. Unfortunately, they often don’t ask themselves whether they want to lead people at all.

Who do you address with your presentations?

On the one hand, we are actually specifically booked by companies with our lectures and go into management and the executive floors, that is our professional background. On the other hand, we now have the open lectures, like the event in the Kulturschranne, which can be attended by everyone. We organize some of these on a voluntary basis or free of charge for local projects. We really address everyone here who is interested in this topic, professionals, students, pupils, listeners of all ages who are interested in the topic. It is particularly important to me personally to reach young people, because they are the hope for all of us in the future. I would like to take away their fears about the future and help them to look positively to the future.

Further dates for the “Mindest-Macht-Zukunft” lecture series are being planned, but have not yet been set.
