Housing: What to do if the developer is not finished? – Freising

The rented apartment has been terminated, the day-care center booked, life in your own four walls in a new place can begin. But the property developer from whom you bought the apartment is not ready in time. And now? Three victims report.

Buying a condominium is often a life decision. Especially if there are only blueprints for it. There is so much to consider. The financing has to fit, existing leases have to be terminated in due time. Who can afford to pay for the rent and the loan for the new apartment, even if only for a limited period of time. Parents must also apply in good time to register for school or a daycare center at their new place of residence. The schedule is tight. But what do you do when the property developer just can’t get it done, when move-in dates keep being pushed back and you, as a buyer, only get sparse information?
