The second season of “House of the Dragon” has been given a start date. These are the first details about the “GoT” spin-off.

The second season of “House of the Dragon” will air in June. Warner Bros. Discovery announced this in a teleconference. However, an exact start date for the “Game of Thrones” offshoot has not yet been set, this is what the British “Daily Mail” reports.

“House of the Dragon” is located in “Dance of the Dragons”

The sequel has eight episodes, two episodes fewer than the first season. In addition, there should be no jumps through time this time, as showrunner Ryan Condal (33) announced. “As a reward for our wonderful audience who have accompanied us through all the time jumps and rewrites, I would like to say that they are finished,” he promises: “From here on we tell the story in real time. We don’t make any big time jumps forward . We are now in the Dance of the Dragons and we will tell this story.”

Old actors stay and new ones come in:

The cast should mostly stay as it is. “The actors play these characters until the end. We won’t cast anyone new,” reveals Condal. A number of familiar faces from the first season will return in the second season, including Emma D’Arcy (31) and Olivia Cooke (30). But new actors and actresses will also take the stage, such as Clinton Liberty (25), Tom Bennett (54) and Kieran Bew (43).

The producers of the Sky series had already announced in November last year that the new season would appear in early summer 2024. The first trailer for the sequel was released in December.
