Seriously injured on December 5 in Swansea in a motorcycle accident, Welsh rugby player Ifan Phillips had to have a leg amputated. The 25-year-old son of former Welsh international hooker Kevin Philipps has started a fundraiser to support him and his family as they recover. This fundraising enabled him to collect more than 58,000 pounds (around 68,000 euros). “Your donations will be used to finance my rehabilitation and, I hope, the purchase of a prosthetic leg, which will allow me to seize new opportunities,” he explained.
