After the violent death of a 19-year-old and a 22-year-old on Saturday a week ago, a large-scale resident survey in Sauerlach near Munich did not reveal any new information. Police wanted to investigate a rumor that there may have been an argument between the couple before the killing.
In a three-hour operation on Saturday, 30 officers from a hundred people questioned residents in the streets around the scene of the crime and a restaurant in front of the station, in front of which a dispute is said to have taken place. The restaurant itself was closed at the time, said police spokeswoman Saskia Friedl.
According to previous knowledge, the 22-year-old from Deggendorf stabbed his 19-year-old girlfriend from the Erding district with a knife before inflicting fatal injuries on himself. As the spokeswoman explained, the couple stayed with a relative in Sauerlach. It is not known how it arrived, whether by car or otherwise. The police continue to assume that no one else was involved in the crime.
Normally, the police no longer investigate the death of perpetrators. She explains that the effort was nevertheless made with the hope of finding clues to the motive and background that are still in the dark – also to be able to give the family certainty.
