In the night from Monday to Tuesday, a homeless man from Saint-Girons, in Ariège, attacked another by fatally hitting “his victim in the head with a stone four times”, indicated a member of the wooden floor.
This 58-year-old man was indicted and placed in detention for the murder of the 52-year-old man who succumbed to his injuries. He had gone himself to the gendarmerie, where he had been placed in police custody before being referred on Wednesday afternoon.
“We open a judicial investigation of the counts of murder, and requisitions for pre-trial detention are taken”, specified the prosecution before the indictment for intentional homicide.
The imprisoned homeless man had recently come out of a stay in a psychiatric hospital that he had made during the summer.
