After a misunderstanding between Colin Kleine-Bekel and Thomas Dähne, the Holstein keeper played the ball straight into the feet of Branimir Hrgota, who scored from 40 meters to give the visitors the lead (63′). But Holstein promptly found the answer. A low cross from the left by Tom Rothe brought Jonas Sterner into the goal (68th). And less than 180 seconds later, the storks turned the game. After a great pass from substitute Chance Simakala, Shuto Machino appeared alone in front of Fürth keeper Jonas Urbig, who brought down the KSV attacker in the penalty area. Machino played himself and converted the penalty kick to a 2-1 home win for KSV (71st).
