The American historian Deborah Lipstadt is one of the most renowned Holocaust researchers in the world. The 74-year-old became known to a wider public through her trial of Holocaust denier David Irving. Most recently, US President Joe Biden nominated her for the post of anti-Semitism commissioner. Lipstadt spoke to the SZ ahead of the conference marking the 80th anniversary of the Wannsee Conference, which has been held by the Wannsee Conference House Memorial in Berlin since Wednesday.
