The Canadian-American actor and a colleague bought a Welsh football club some time ago. However, their visit to the stadium on Tuesday did not bring the team any luck.

For the first time actor Ryan Reynolds watched a game of his Welsh football club AFC Wrexham – but he didn’t bring the team any luck.

The team lost 2: 3 in the fifth division duel at Maidenhead United on Tuesday evening. “Football is breathtaking, heartbreaking, beautiful, in no time the soul is numbed, is bad and beautiful, and I will never sleep again,” wrote the 45-year-old Hollywood star (“The Voices”) on Wednesday night on Instagram.

The Canadian-born Reynolds had acquired the Welsh club, which plays in the English league system, together with his fellow actor Rob McElhenny just under a year ago. The pair watched the game side by side in the stands in the town of Maidenhead, west of London.

Guest fans were enthusiastic about the visit of the two owners, who reportedly cost their engagement two million pounds (2.35 million euros). Wrexham is currently in eleventh place in the fifth-rate National League.
