Sandra Hülser (45) received another nomination for best actress for her role in the legal thriller “Anatomy of a Case” in the USA. The actress, who comes from Suhl and lives in Leipzig and was nominated for a Golden Globe on Monday, will also be in the running for a Critics Choice Award in mid-January.

Joining Hülser in the Best Actress category are Lily Gladstone (“Killers of the Flower Moon”), Greta Lee (“Past Lives”), Carey Mulligan (“Maestro”), Margot Robbie (“Barbie”) and Emma Stone ( “Poor Things”).

The drama “Anatomy of a Case” by French director Justine Triet is also one of the six candidates in the “Best Foreign Language Film” category. “The Zone of Interest” by British director Jonathan Glazer with Hülser in the role of the wife of Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Höß (Christian Friedel) is also nominated there. German director Wim Wenders is also represented in this category with his film “Perfect Days,” which was shot in Japanese in Tokyo.

The favorite at the Critics Choice Awards is “Barbie” with 18 nominations, followed by “Oppenheimer” and “Poor Things” with 13 chances each.

The Critics Choice Association is the largest film and television critics association in the United States and Canada, with over 500 members. The 29th Critics Choice Awards gala is scheduled to take place on January 14th in Los Angeles.
