Margot Robbie and Warner Bros. negotiate production deal

After her “Barbie” success, Margot Robbie is in demand as an actress and producer in Hollywood. Now the star is negotiating a production deal with studio Warner Bros.

After the joint mega film hit “Barbie”, Warner Bros. and the leading actress and producer are building Margot Robbie (33) continues their collaboration. The Australian native has signed a first-look deal with her company LuckyChap Entertainment and the Hollywood Studio, US industry publications reported.

Robbie founded the production company with husband Tom Ackerley and producer Josey McNamara in 2014. They look forward to producing film projects of all sizes and genres with Margot, Tom and Josey for moviegoers around the world, Warner executives Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy wrote in a statement. Various regulations for production and marketing can be made in a first-look agreement.

“Barbie” the most successful film in 2023

Director Greta Gerwig’s social satire “Barbie” about the iconic doll was the most successful film of 2023, with worldwide box office receipts of over $1.4 billion. Robbie starred as Barbie and Ryan Gosling (43) as Ken. The comedy is nominated for eight Oscars, including Best Picture.

Robbie’s first film was “I, Tonya” with LuckyChap Entertainment in 2017. In it Robbie played figure skater Tonya Harding. She was also involved in the production of films such as “Promising Young Woman”, “Birds of Prey: The Emancipation of Harley Quinn” and “Saltburn”.
