Actor Jamie Dornan is set to play Gal Gadot alongside “Wonder Woman” in a planned spy thriller. Gadot welcomes her colleague to Instagram.
Northern Irishman Jamie Dornan (39), who is currently convincing in Kenneth Branagh’s drama “Belfast”, has landed a major Hollywood role.
He will appear alongside “Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot (36) in the planned spy thriller “Heart of Stone”, as the streaming service Netflix announced on Twitter on Tuesday.
Gadot is said to be chasing villains as a spy in the style of James Bond or “Mission: Impossible” agent Ethan Hunt, as was announced last year.
Start of shooting not yet known
“Let’s mix it up and have fun,” Gadot welcomed her colleagues to Instagram. She can’t wait to embark on this journey. The start of shooting for the agent film is not yet known. The script was written by Greg Rucka («The Old Guard») and Allison Schroeder («Hidden Figures»). The Briton Tom Harper (“The Aeronauts”, “Wild Rose”) is on board as a director.
Dornan, best known for the ‘Shades of Grey’ series, is currently receiving critical acclaim for his role as a father in director Kenneth Branagh’s black-and-white drama ‘Belfast’. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globe Awards in January.
