1000 extras wanted for Anne Hathaway film

For people who have always wanted to star in an American movie with a top cast, now is your chance. Even doubles for the main actors are wanted.
Around 1,000 extras are being sought in North Rhine-Westphalia for a feature film starring Oscar winner Anne Hathaway (“The Devil Wears Prada”). From the end of May to the end of July, the shooting for the German-American production “Mother Mary” will take place over 40 days in North Rhine-Westphalia, as the agency Eick & Weber (“Tribute von Panem”) told the German Press Agency.
The psychological drama with mystery elements tells the story of the fictional pop star Mother Mary, who is known for spectacular stage shows and a loyal fan base. Every performance has to be perfectly staged – but at a concert there is a momentous incident that changes the life of the pop icon.
The extras should work in front of the camera for one to eight days. Cologne and the greater areas of Bonn and Düren are planned as filming locations. You can apply in an open, free online casting until July 23 at www.hollywood-casting.de.
“All Genders and Gender Identities” invited
The casting process begins promptly, but will only be completed shortly before the end of the shooting time, said agency co-owner Gregor Weber. We are also looking for people of international origin. “Invited are people of all ethnicities and nations as well as all genders and gender identities, aged six to 80 years.” The extras are supposed to represent concert goers, fans, roadies, models, stylists, make-up artists, seamstresses, tailors, photographers and paparazzi, among others. “People are welcome to come from these professional fields in real life,” said Weber.
For special scenes you also need people who can move in an interesting and unusual way, for example in the areas of pantomime, dance and acrobatics. In addition to extras, bit actors are also wanted – and two doubles for the two main actresses. The latter even have up to 40 working days. We are looking for a white woman around 1.73 meters tall and a black woman around 1.65 meters. People with good knowledge of English and with acting experience or acting students are also welcome. Unfortunately, those who did not receive any feedback by July 28 were not selected.
