20 years ago, the now world-famous actors from the Harry Potter films appeared on the screen as Harry, Ron, Hermione and Co. for the first time. Now HBO Max takes a look back.

20 years after the first film in the Harry Potter series, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”, the stars involved look back on the fantasy cult in a retrospective.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, director Chris Columbus and other stars of the eight-part series wanted to celebrate the anniversary with the special program “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: ​​Return to Hogwarts”, announced the US streaming service HBO Max on Tuesday.

The retrospective with interviews, panel discussions and scenes from the shooting is due to premiere on January 1st. Actors such as Helena Bonham Carter, Imelda Staunton, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes and Gary Oldman will also be there.

The first Harry Potter film about the famous student of magic, based on the novels by the British writer JK Rowling, celebrated its world premiere in November 2001 in London. Daniel Radcliffe, then twelve, played the title role, alongside Emma Watson as Hermione Granger and Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley.
