Around 160,000 actors and actresses are on strike in the USA. After talks with the studios were interrupted last week, things are set to go back to the negotiating table soon.

In the Hollywood strike, representatives of the actors and actresses want to resume negotiations with representatives of the film studios. The two sides said further talks were planned for Tuesday. Some high-ranking employees of the film studios also wanted to take part. About a week ago, the negotiations stalled and were temporarily interrupted.

The approximately 160,000 actors and actresses in the USA have been on strike since July 14th – exactly 100 days on Sunday. The actors are demanding, among other things, better remuneration and the regulation of the use of artificial intelligence in the industry. The screenwriters had also been on strike since the beginning of May, but reached an agreement with the studios at the beginning of the month.
