Harvest time in Lower Franconia. The sun shines on the green vines. A weak, cool wind blows through their rows, in which men and women stand on the steep southern slope with large barrels on their backs. They harvest the ripe grapes in a few simple steps – the hand-picking attracts the attention of the hikers who make their way to the low peak of the Julius Echter mountain, which overlooks other hills with vines on the slope.
