Meadows go right up to the house.” It is Hermann Kaufmann who gives advice here “for those who build a forest house”. The Bregenzerwald architect with a professorship at the Technical University of Munich is considered a pioneer of modern timber construction. In the book “Lively substance. Converted farmhouses in the Bregenzerwald”, published together with journalist Florian Aicher, Kaufmann continues to guide the reader: “Above all, however, you should seek advice and help from the widely famous craftsmen, engineers and architects of the Bregenzerwald.”
