Leonhard Karl (CSU) missed his last meeting in the Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn municipal council – for professional reasons. And it is precisely this absence that also shows why the police officer has given up his mandate prematurely for the second time during a legislative period. “He found that several activities can no longer be reconciled,” said CSU faction leader Roland Spingler, explaining the departure of his colleague and party friend. Above all, his workload led to the decision. Instead of Leonhard Karl, Susanne Gaar moves into the municipal council. According to the CSU list, Tobias Egger would have actually moved up, but he gave up, said Mayor Mindy Konwitschny (SPD). So it was the turn of 21-year-old Susanne Gaar, who moved up from 21st place to eleventh place in the local elections. The outgoing Leonhard Karl – he volunteers in Siegertsbrunn in the Leonhardi committee and as chairman of the fire brigade – called Spingler a “very important asset” in the municipal council. So we regret his departure. Leonhard Karl had already left the municipal council early in 2019; even then he had cited professional reasons.
