Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn – forgotten pizza in the oven – district of Munich

The fire brigade had to be called out twice on Sunday in the Munich district because a fire had broken out in a kitchen. In both cases one person was injured. In Höhenkirchen, an 18-year-old put a pizza in the oven early in the morning and then apparently fell asleep. The parents weren’t at home. At around 7:10 a.m., a neighbor called emergency services because a fire alarm had gone off. There was a lot of smoke, the fire brigade ventilated the apartment. The 18-year-old was treated by paramedics and taken to a hospital. The property damage should amount to an amount in the four-digit range.

At around 5.35 p.m. an emergency call was received from the Haar district of Eglfing. A local resident also reported a fire in a neighboring apartment. According to the police, the fire was apparently caused by a technical defect in a fridge-freezer. The 23-year-old resident was able to leave the apartment on her own. Significant property damage was caused by soot deposits throughout the apartment. She suffered minor injuries. The property damage is estimated at several thousand euros.
