Hohenbrunn: indoor pool should open at the beginning of November – district of Munich

A little patience is still needed, but now the date for the opening of the new Riemerlingen indoor swimming pool is set: According to Hohenbrunn Mayor Stefan Straßmair (CSU), the pool, which costs around 25 million euros, should go into operation during the autumn holidays, i.e. in the first week of November . The fire protection in particular has pushed back the final completion. “Most of the problems have been solved, recently, for example, stumbling blocks were removed,” reports the head of the town hall when asked by SZ.

Now it is still a matter of integrating the fire alarm system into the fire brigade’s control center. “A concept for this is there and approved, I’m confident that we can start in the autumn holidays,” said Straßmair. Apparently, there were initially problems with the smoke detectors, which were originally placed under the ceiling and were therefore difficult to access, according to the fire department. The changes would have cost several thousand euros and, above all, time. “Very annoying,” comments the mayor.

“It probably won’t be as bachelor warm as it used to be,” says the mayor

There is still a hurry, because not only the swimming department of TSV Hohenbrunn, the Riemerlinger Haie, can hardly wait for the pool to finally open; schools and special-purpose associations are also scratching their heads. They had hoped to open at the start of the school year and urgently need additional time for swimming lessons.

Straßmair doesn’t care that energy prices are exploding, especially now that this Hohenbrunn prestige project is about to be finalized: “Swimming is not a luxury, the energy prices are as they are, but we also have a brand new building with modern heating and insulation “, says the head of administration, who nevertheless reveals that the heating of the water and air will be regulated a bit: “We won’t regulate it down so that the kids don’t go into the water anymore. But it probably won’t be as cozy as it used to be be.” It is conceivable that the water will be half a degree cooler and the air one degree cooler than in the old pool. This would still be in the range of around 30 degrees for both values.
