A fire spread to at least five residential buildings in Hofkirchen near Passau. According to police, the fire broke out in a garage early Monday morning and spread from there. The residents had to leave their houses. Even after hours, the fire had not been extinguished.
Several fire engines from surrounding towns were in action, the police said. According to initial findings, no one was injured. It was initially unclear how extensive the damage was, but the police said it was “major”.
