“The White Lotus” prequel with Jennifer Coolidge?

Jennifer Coolidge plays the fan-favorite super-rich Tanya in the miniseries. Series creator Mike White could imagine bringing the character back to life.
According to a media report, “The White Lotus” creator Mike White could imagine a prequel to the HBO hit series with the popular main character Tanya. “I’m convinced it’s possible, we just talked about it,” said the 52-year-old at a festival in Sydney over the weekend, as reported by the industry journal Deadline. Accordingly, White suggested making Jennifer Coolidge (61) look 20 years younger with on-screen animation so that the actress could reprise the role. “That would be fun too,” White continued.
Coolidge had played the seriously unstable Tanya McQuoid in the first two seasons of the miniseries and won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for it. In “The White Lotus” Mike White tells the story of the luxury vacations of the spoiled super-rich in resorts of the eponymous hotel chain. Not everyone escapes with their lives. The first season (2021) played in Hawaii, the second (2022) in Sicily.
The scathing satire picked up ten awards at the Emmys last year and won Best Miniseries/TV Movie at the Golden Globes. In November, HBO announced that the series would be renewed for a third season. She is reportedly set to play in Thailand. In Germany, the series can be seen on Wow.
