The Nantes prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation, entrusted to the IGPN, “in order to determine whether this shooting was carried out under regular conditions”, specifies the public prosecutor. According to Renaud Gaudeul, the demonstrator had initially been placed in police custody for intentional violence against persons holding public authority, after a projectile was thrown. “The person concerned was released pending further investigations,” he said.
