Which green plants to choose in a white decor?
A decor dominated by white provides an ideal environment for indoor plants to flourish. And in this immaculate setting, they will inevitably attract all eyes. To enhance your interior, it is therefore a matter of choosing varieties adapted to the aesthetic that you wish to create.
In a very contemporary interior or in an industrial atmosphere, you can for example favor very graphic varieties, such as cactus or aloe vera. And if you have opted for a very refined decor, don’t be afraid to think big, rather than multiplying the plants! We don’t forget the little detail that changes everything: choosing the right planter. In this type of interior, we dare to use mineral materials such as concrete, or we opt for black – classic, but always effective.
To create a soft and relaxed atmosphere in the bedroom, we love green plants with hanging foliage: ivy, philodendron, pepromia, house vine (cissus), etc. In a bohemian or vintage atmosphere, we without hesitation adopt basketwork as a flowerpot. The time when we placed the sofa against the wall is over: today, even the corner sofa is distancing itself. Which generally leaves us with a corner that suddenly turns into wasted space… unless we install an XXL houseplant there – the natural and ultra-trendy touch that perfectly highlights the living room.
Independent room or office area set up in the living room, the work space quickly becomes a little dry – the fault of the storage, which we need to maintain a well-organized space! What if you added a window with a view of nature to your home? To do this, there is no need to break into a wall: all you need is a mirror and a cleverly positioned green plant. Here is a simple and effective way to green up the decor, without having to embark on a large-scale gardening operation.
A bright interior creates the ideal conditions for adopting the urban jungle decor. To adopt this very trendy look, don’t hesitate to multiply the effects by combining suspensions and a plant pedestal. Not forgetting a few pots placed on the ground. It doesn’t take much to create a beautiful island of greenery. The common solution is to install it near the window.
The alternative: use your indoor mini-jungle as a room divider, for example to structure the living room.
